Adetunji identifies goal scoring as product of teamwork

Abia Warriors lanky forward, Sunday Adetunji has scored four goals from six matches this season, but the former Shooting Stars man believes goal scoring is a collective responsibility.

Acquired from Shooting Stars, Adetunji had to watch from the sidelines as he could not debut at the beginning of the season due to clearance issues until Match Day six.

Adetunji wormed his way into the hearts of Umuahia fans by scoring in his first three games.

With four goals, he is currently among the top goal scorers and he seems to prefer his team’s victory and better performance to his personal glory.

“I think as a team if we keep winning it doesn’t matter who scores. The main thing is for the team to get good results and I must not be the one to score every goal. We work together to win,” Adetunji told www.naijaleague.com.ng.

Adetunji has scored against Gombe United, Sunshine Stars, Nasarawa United and Akwa United, respectively.
